Kitchen tools make meal prep easier! Here’s a roundup of my favorite kitchen tools, gadgets, and appliances for meal prep.
This isn’t an exhaustive list of kitchen tools, but it is a list of some of my favorites. It might take a few years to build up to having all of these kitchen tools, and you’ll have to figure out what is worth it for you to invest in! If you’re getting married, some of these kitchen tools might be the perfect items to add to your wedding registry.
The idea of dumping a list of ingredients into a slow cooker and letting it do all the work for you is amazing. Slow cookers are so helpful for meal prep and when life gets busy! There are so many amazing slow cooker recipes, like all of the recipes from Slow Cooker Gourmet.
If you’re serious about coffee, it is worth it to invest in your own coffee grinder so you can grind your own coffee beans! Having a coffee grinder will be an important kitchen tool if you plan to use an espresso machine as well—I recommend getting a burr grinder for a more uniform grind.
Using a food processor is so helpful for meal prep recipes! As an all-around champion of a tool, it’s especially helpful for making chopping, grinding, and processing go quickly. My favorite way to use a food processor is to make healthy energy bites.
This is one of our most essential kitchen tools! We program our coffee pot every single morning so that our coffee is hot and ready right when we wake up.
While we don’t use an espresso machine every morning, this is perfect for making making afternoon lattes or americanos.
A KitchenAid isn’t a daily appliance, but it’s essential for baking! I love to make cookies, breads, muffins, and all sorts of yummy treats using my KitchenAid. Plus, this one looks beautiful on the counter!
Every week I meal prep a batch of waffles! This waffle maker can make four waffles at one time, is easy to clean, and requires little space. I keep it stashed on a shelf and take it out as needed.
This is an important tool for homemade breads, soups, chilis, and all kinds of fall recipes. While it’s an investment, it’s also a staple!
Most people are intimidated by using a cast iron skillet, but it’s amazing. I use this skillet every day for things like pancakes, eggs, stir fry, and much more. My favorite way to use it is for my easy pancake skillet and a classic campfire breakfast.
I love this skillet for the same reasons as the one above! And having a bigger size is helpful when I’m cooking for 4 or more people, rather than just me and my husband.
If you want to up your morning coffee game, having a milk frother is essential! And this frother is quick, easy to use, and takes up so little space. It’s worth the investment because it can save you so much money because you can skip the coffee shop and make fancy drinks right in your own home!
Ninja Blender/Food Processor with 450-Watt Base, 48oz Pitcher, 16oz Chopper Bowl, and 40oz Processor Bowl for Shakes, Smoothies, and Meal Prep (QB1004)
While it might be seem overkill to have a few sizes of blenders, it’s really helpful! If I’m making a single-serving smoothie, I use the smallest size blender. If I’m making a big batch of protein balls or shakes, the biggest size works great!
As I’ve grown into a better baker, having a scale has been important! This scale is the best of the best (I got it because it is what was recommended by Alton Brown), and it is so accurate!
These glass measurement cups are perfect for baking, meal prep, and all your cooking needs. They’re durable, affordable, and easy to use.
Pyrex Simply Store Meal Prep Glass Food Storage Containers (18-Piece Set, BPA Free Lids, Oven Safe),Multicolored
These meal prep glass food storage containers are great for storage! If you’re working on a weekly meal prep, having several containers to store foods for easy grab and go is essential. These are awesome!
I never thought I would use a rice maker until I owned one for myself. We use this as part of our weekly meal prep to cook rice, quinoa, and all sorts of grains. It’s perfect because you hit start and then can completely forget about it and keep meal prepping away.
While this isn’t an exhaustive list of all of my kitchen tools, I hope this list can get you started! Happy cooking and meal prepping!
