Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken
  • 6 oz salsa verde
  • 4 oz hot green chiles
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Optional Toppings

  • cilantro 
  • limes
  •   jalapeños

Instructions

  • Place chicken breast in the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, mix all the remaining ingredients together to make the sauce.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  • Cook on high for 2 hours, low for 4 hours, or until the internal temp of the chicken is 165 degrees.
  • Take out the chicken and shred.
  • Add the chicken back to the sauce mixture.
  • Serve with desired toppings and enjoy!
