Start by cooking the bacon if it’s not already cooked. (Easily cook the bacon in the oven on 350 for 20 minutes).
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Lightly brush buns with oil and let cook until toasted.
Form the ground turkey into four 1-inch-thick patties. Season with salt and pepper. grill over high heat, turning once, until nearly cooked through, about 10 minutes.
Add the patties to the heated skillet. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning once, until burgers are cooked through.
Top the patties with a slice of gouda cheese, cover with a lid, and let the cheese melt for about a minute.
On top of a bun, add the burger patty, red onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
