Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 93% lean 16 oz
  • ½ onion diced 75 grams
  • 24 oz jar pasta sauce 680 grams
  • 6 lasagna noodles dry 150 grams
  • 3 cups nonfat cottage cheese 24 oz
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese 60 grams
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese shredded 56 grams
  • 3 cloves garlic minced 15 grams
  • 1.5 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Add ground beef and brown, about 8 minutes.
  • Add seasonings to meat and mix. Add pasta sauce and stir. Set aside.
  • In a blender, make the cheese sauce mixture by blending the cottage cheese and parmesan.
  • In a crockpot, you're going to make layers.
  • Add ½ of the meat mixture to the bottom, a layer of noodles, and then a layer of ½ of the cheese mixture.
  • Repeat again to make more layers.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella.
  • Cook on low for 2-4 hours.
  • Garnish with basil (optional) and red pepper flakes.
  • Enjoy!
