Chocolate protein ice cream substitution ideas
Check out these easy substitutions for this chocolate protein ice cream.
- Milk: I use Fairlife Chocolate Milk, and it is so delicious and my personal favorite. You could use normal white milk, coconut milk, or even almond milk. Keep in mind that by changing the milk base, you will get different flavors as a result.
- Protein: I use Clean Simple Eats brand. It is so good, and like the name says, has clean and simple ingredients. If you're interested in trying it out, make sure you use code JORDO for a discount. For this recipe I use the Brownie Batter flavor, but the chocolate protein powder would be a good match for this recipe too. Here is a link to the protein powder I love. Make sure you use the code JORDO for your discount!
- Chocolate instant pudding mix: There really isn't a good substitution for this ingredient. My biggest suggestion is to use a different flavor instant pudding mix. However, in my opinion, chocolate would taste best. You'll definitely end up changing the flavor of the ice cream if you used a different flavor pudding mix.
- Oreo cookies: I cannot imagine not wanting to use the delicious, classic, Oreo cookies as a mix-in and topping on this protein ice cream! If you're not quite as big of an Oreo fan as I am, change it out for a different mix-in or topping. Chocolate chips, crushed chocolate chip cookies, or brownies would all taste amazing.
How long does chocolate protein ice cream last in the fridge?
This high protein chocolate ice cream will last for up to 5 days in the fridge. This recipe only makes one serving, but you could double, triple, or even quadruple the recipe to make your ice cream for more than one night.
