S'mores Dip

We love to make foods into other types of foods. An ice cream sandwich. A taco salad. Pizza pasta.

They say there's nothing new under the sun, so it's fun to innovate with these combinations. Another way to shake things up is to change the presentation.

You like pancakes? Try them in a bowl! How about enchiladas? Make them as a skillet.

Aside from giving you an inside look at some recipe development techniques (you're welcome!), I'm introducing you to one of my recent favorites: s'mores dip. It's like s'mores, but as a dip.

What are s'mores?

You didn't come here for a history lesson, so I'm not going to give it to you. S'mores are chocolate and marshmallows sandwiched between graham crackers. You have them around a fire, where you sing songs and make fun of the kid who likes to burn their marshmallows to an absolute crisp (like my husband).

Whether you like s'mores or not, though, I recommend you give this s'mores dip a try. For one thing, it's fire-optional (though you might want one for the ambience). For another, it's super yummy, and you don't have to worry about your marshmallows melting off to an untimely demise.

So what goes in it?

You already know about s'mores ingredients, so what more goes into this? Well, we're trading in the jet-puffed pillows for some marshmallow fluff. That's not all that's different—here's the whole list:

  • vanilla greek yogurt
  • marshmallow fluff
  • cool whip
  • graham cracker
  • mini chocolate chips

How to make s'mores dip

Now that you've gathered your ingredients, which are only slightly more numerous than the classic s'mores trio, here's how you go about making this dip:

  • Gather ingredients.
  • Scoop marshmallow fluff into microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 10 seconds.
  • Add vanilla greek yogurt and cool whip to the bowl. Mix well.
  • Top with crushed graham cracker and mini chocolate chips.
  • Serve with fruit, graham crackers, or your favorite dipping item.

Ingredients

  • 1 container vanilla greek yogurt 150 g, I use Two Good
  • 2 tbsp marshmallow fluff 12 g
  • 6 tbsp fat free cool whip 15 g, I use fat free Reddi Wip
  • ½ graham cracker 9 g, crushed
  • 1 tbsp mini chocolate chips 14 g

Instructions

  • Gather ingredients.
  • Scoop marshmallow fluff into microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 10 seconds.

I already love anything s’mores related, but this dip is next level. It’s light, airy, sweet and delicious which makes it the perfect sweet treat. I love eating it with graham crackers or strawberries, but the possibilities are endless!
