What is a club sandwich?

A typical club sandwich is a sandwich made with bread, meat, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. This is similar to a BLT sandwich but includes extra meat and a few other toppings.

What is a California sandwich?

A California Sandwich typically includes avocado, tomato, turkey, and bread.

California turkey club wrap

A California turkey club wrap is the perfect combination of a club and California sandwich. Instead of a bread, there's a wrap, and it's stuffed with turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and all the condiments you love on your sandwich.

What ingredients do I need?

Here's what I am using for this recipe:

  • Low-carb wrap - Options for low-carb wraps are Cut Da Carb (my favorite!), Flat Out, Lavash, Mission, or whatever you can find at your local grocery store
  • Turkey - Sliced turkey deli meat works great in the wrap.
  • Bacon - One or more pieces of bacon will add some great flavor and crunch to the wrap.
  • Light cheese wedge or any slice cheese - I love to use Laughing Cow or my local grocery store's brand of light cheese wedges. It is creamy and spreads well on the wrap.
  • Lettuce - A little bit of shredded lettuce adds some crunch to the wrap.
  • Tomatoes - Perfect tangy goodness in every bite!
  • Avocado - This is essential for the California part of this California Turkey Club.
  • Optional: mayo or other condiments

What substitutions can I make?

  • To make gluten-free: Use a gluten-free wrap
  • To make dairy-free: Use dairy-free cheese
  • Add more or less of any ingredient you love or don't like

How do I make a California turkey club wrap?

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Start by spreading cheese wedge on a low-carb wrap.
  • Next layer the turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Top with any condiments you like!
  • Fold so that all the ingredients are inside the wrap.
  • If you want to eat it warm, heat a greased skillet on medium-high heat. Place the wrap on the heated skillet and let it cook until one side is toasted, flip and repeat. Enjoy!

How do I store this?

If you make this ahead of time, store in an airtight container or wrapped in tinfoil in the fridge for up to 5 days. However, the wrap might get soggy so my recommendation is to make whenever you're ready to enjoy!

This has been my go-to for lunches this week! I used a bagel thin instead of a wrap. So simple but so good!!!

I was so excited to try this. BLTs are my fav but definitely not very calorie friendly. I love how easy this wrap is, along with that it so filling!
