Bacon cheeseburger skillet substitution ideas
If you're in need of substitutions, look no further! Try these out and let me know in the comments at the bottom of this post how it goes!
- Pasta: For this recipe, I used a shell pasta, but you can use whatever you have on hand. Typically, a smaller pasta noodle will be best, like a macaroni, penne, or bowtie.
- Ground beef: Instead of ground beef, try another ground meat. Ground chicken or ground turkey could work for the recipe, but make sure you note it will change the taste and texture of the finished dish.
- Cheese: I use both mozzarella and cheddar cheese for this recipe. However, you could use other cheeses, too. Whatever you typically like on your cheeseburger should work just fine here. Use shredded cheese from the grocery store, or shred your own off a block you already have.
- Toppings: Get creative with the toppings! Some shredded lettuce, sesame seeds, or pickled red onions could be delicious. Whatever you usually put on your cheeseburger - try it on this skillet!
