Cheesecake Parfait

This cheesecake parfait will hit the spot as a dessert, a snack, or a sweet afternoon pick me up. Whether you pick Oreo or strawberry, you're in store for a high-protein, no-bake, healthy dessert!

The Oreo is crunchy and sweet, and the Strawberry is fresh and tangy! With only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes you'll have either parfait ready to go.

What makes a parfait a parfait?

Parfaits were first documented in France in the 1890s. "Parfait" means "perfect" in English. A classic parfait contains cream, sugar, egg, and syrup. The American version of a parfait typically has yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, or nuts.

This recipe more closely aligns with the American version, with some unique twists. It's cool, delicious, and refreshing - just like the original French parfait.

Cheesecake parfait ingredients

Depending on if you're choosing Oreo or strawberry, here are the ingredients you'll need:

Oreo Cheesecake Parfait

  • ¾ cup vanilla greek yogurt 6 oz
  • 2 tbsp cheesecake pudding mix 24 grams
  • 4 tbsp lite whipped topping 18 grams
  • 2 Oreo thins crushed (15 grams)

Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait

  • ¾ cup vanilla greek yogurt 6 oz
  • 2 tbsp cheesecake pudding mix 24 grams
  • 4 tbsp lite whipped topping 18 grams
  • ⅓ cup strawberries diced (65 grams)
  • ½ graham cracker crushed (8 grams)

Cheesecake parfait substitutions

Here are a few substitution ideas!

  • Nonfat Greek Yogurt: You can use any kind of yogurt! Some options are Greek, nonfat, low sugar, vanilla, or whatever best fits your needs!
  • Oreo Thins: I like to crush Oreo thin cookies on top. Another option would be to use Oreo minis or gluten-free Oreo cookies!
  • Cool Whip: I use sugar free cool whip but you can use any kind of cool whip you like best! There's also a fat free Reddi Whip you can use.
  • Strawberries: I love strawberries, (especially on cheesecake), but you can use your favorite fruit. Blueberries, blackberries, and bananas come to mind!

How to make a cheesecake parfait

  • In a small bowl, stir greek yogurt and pudding mix together until smooth.
  • In a separate small jar, add ½ of the yogurt mix to the bottom.
  • For the next layer, add ½ of the whipped topping and ½ of the crushed toppings.
  • Add the second ½ of the yogurt for the next layer, and finally top with the remaining whipped topping and crushed toppings.
  • Let sit in the fridge for 30 mins before enjoying.
  • The nutrition of each variation is in the notes.

How long can you keep a parfait in the fridge?

Don't feel like you need to rush to finish your parfait. Quadruple the recipe, split and store in 4 airtight containers in the fridge for up to 5 days. Add toppings when you’re going to enjoy.

What is no bake cheesecake filling made of?

A no bake cheesecake does not include eggs and therefore can be set in the fridge. It typically includes condensed milk, cream cheese, sugar, and flavoring. A no bake cheesecake has a more mousse-like texture than a cheesecake baked in the oven.

How many calories are in a cheesecake parfait?

The Oreo Parfait has 284 calories. The Strawberry Parfait has 271.

I am a huge fan of ice cream for dessert, but when I say it could go neck and neck with the cheesecake parfait I mean it. So simple to make, and so much healthier than ice cream. I prep a bunch for the week and have it over and over again!
