What is Boursin cheese?

Boursin cheese is a soft ready-to-eat creamy cheese similar to cream cheese. It originated in the North of France in the 1960s. There are all sorts of yummy varieties of Boursin cheese. There is "Garlic and Fine Herbs", "Shallot and Chive", "Cracked Black Pepper", the list goes on and on.

Their slogan is "Some bread, some Boursin, we're good." I think you'll find after this recipe it could be, "Some meatballs, some Boursin, we're great."

What goes well with turkey Boursin meatballs

There are so many different and creative ways to serve these delicious meatballs. The first way that comes to mind is with a pasta with a marinara sauce or cream sauce. Another way would be on top of some fresh greens to make a lovely, filling salad. A creamy garlic sauce for dipping made with plain Greek yogurt or mayonnaise would be absolutely delicious.

On the side, some cranberry sauce and green beans would make a lovely holiday meal. I also think some roasted red peppers as a side dish would complement the creamy cheesy flavor very well.

How healthy are turkey Boursin meatballs?

As always, "healthy" is a subjective term and can mean different things for different people. It all really depends on you, your body, and your health goals. Let's take a look at the ingredients in this recipe and see what they have to offer you and how they will support your body.

The ground turkey is full of protein and will help you stay fuller for longer. It will also help you build on your muscles. The Boursin cheese is full of healthy fats and also offers some protein. Another benefit of this recipe is that is low in carbohydrates. For some, a low carbohydrate diet is a necessity. For others, they just prefer to eat low carb or have found it supports their body best.
