Chocolate coffee drink

Chocolate milk iced coffee is exactly what it sounds like: chocolate coffee. You start with a glass of ice, add in coffee, and top it off with chocolate milk. Stir and your drink is ready to go! This drink is cheaper and healthier than Starbucks, but tastes just as good!

Can you mix coffee with chocolate milk?

Yes, absolutely. I have done a lot of experimenting with hot coffee and frothed chocolate milk (trust me, it works) but the best mix is iced coffee with cold chocolate milk. The chocolate milk serves as a creamer and blends with the coffee very well. It's delicious!

Is ice coffee with milk good for the health?

Everyone has their own definition of healthy, but cold coffee with milk is good for my health! I use unsweetened cold brew coffee and add in chocolate milk. The chocolate milk is creamy, semi-sweet, and provides plenty of nutrients compared to most creamers. Did you know some Starbucks drinks can close to 500 calories?! This drink recipe only has 35 calories so I will opt it any day!

Is this drink healthy?

I stand by my statement that everyone has their own definition of healthy. I believe the nutrition of this drink is awesome! One serving has 35 calories, 4 grans carbs, 4 grams of protein, and 1 gram of fat. That's a great balance of macronutrients for your morning cup!

What ingredients do I need?

This drink only requires 2 ingredients. Here's what you'll need:

  • Cold Brew Coffee - My favorite cold brew for this drink is Stok. In my opinion, this is the gold standard of grocery store cold brew coffee. It's affordable and tastes delicious. This brand makes a few different versions of their cold brew (from unsweetened, to not-too-sweet, to sweet) so you can find one that works best for you. This recipe uses the unsweetened version!
  • Chocolate milk - My favorite chocolate milk is Fairlife 2% Reduced Fat. This chocolate milk is rich, creamy, and ultra-filtered. It has 50% less sugar and 50% more protein than regular chocolate milk. This brand of chocolate milk TOTALLY makes the drink.
  • Ice cubes - These are to keep your drink cold!

This combo is so simple but seriously SO SO GOOD! I make it every single day and have even found myself preferring this iced coffee over local coffee shops' drinks now (and a much more affordable option too!)
