Breakfast wrap recipe

Sometimes you need a break from waffles and pancakes, and a classic burrito or taco just won’t fit the bill. A wrap brings you handheld convenience while removing the expectation for certain ingredients. If you can make anything you want, why not make it healthy and tasty?

Healthy breakfast wraps

These healthy breakfast wraps give you the nutrition you need in the morning without skimping on flavor.

What's in the breakfast wrap?

Here are the components for these healthy breakfast wraps:

  • wrap (I use Cut Da Carb)
  • whipped cream cheese
  • jam, jelly, or fruit syrup (I use Kodiak Cakes Fruit Syrup)
  • egg whites
  • turkey
  • bacon

Substitutions for healthy breakfast wraps

Obviously, this recipe is highly customizable to your needs. Off the top of my head, here are some of the ways you could make changes:

  • Any kind of wrap
  • Egg whites for eggs
  • Turkey or ham (or other lunch meat)
  • Jam, jelly, or fruit syrup
  • Whipped cream cheese, plain cream cheese, or cheese wedge
  • Optional ideas: spinach, extra meat, extra cheese

How to make a breakfast wrap

With how easy this is to throw together, it’s easy to imagine fitting this right into your morning routine! Here’s what to do:

  • Gather all ingredients while skillet is heating up.
  • Spread cream cheese & jam on the wrap. Add sliced turkey, cooked bacon, and cooked egg whites.
  • Fold the wrap and place it (fold side down) on a greased skillet. Cook until toasted and then flip.
  • Take the wrap off the skillet, cut in half, and enjoy!

How long is a breakfast wrap good for?

This is not as much of a meal prep recipe as it is a eat-it-now recipe (and trust me: you’ll want to). This is easy because it’s so fast! However, you can make it even faster by cooking your bacon ahead of time.

Simple, quick, and easy! Love a cut da carb wrap meal - they crisp up the best. However, gave 4 stars because although the recipe is supposed to be quick it lacked a little pizazz? Maybe I could have added some hot sauce or some spinach to beef it up a little.
