With life at an outdoor adventure camp, I go on a lot of camping trips. Whether it's the adventure trips I guide for students or a campout with my husband or friends, I spend a lot of nights under the stars. From all my campouts, I know that I always need to pack a dessert to end the night!

S'mores are an obvious choice, but making a campfire and bringing s'mores ingredients aren't always an option. I started packing this s'mores trail mix for an easy and delicious dessert!

What is S'mores trail mix?

Traditional trail mix is typically a combination of nuts, seeds, and chocolate. Instead of using the traditional ingredients, I swapped them for s'mores ingredients. This s'mores trail mix is made with only four ingredients and takes less than five minutes to prepare and package. Whether it's for a camping trip or an indoor movie night, this dessert will give you the classic s'mores taste without the campfire!

What ingredients you'll need

There are only four ingredients for this s'mores mix. The two obvious ingredients for s'mores are marshmallows and chocolate, so you can pick up your favorite brand of chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.

To substitute for the graham cracker, Honey Graham Cracker Bear Bites are a great option packed with whole grains and protein. For an additional cinnamon and chocolate twist, you'll need some Chocolate Toast Crunch.

The recipe process

This is one of the easiest recipes you'll ever make. All you need to do is add the mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, Bear Bites, and Chocolate Toast Crunch to a large bowl and mix well. I always store my trail mix in reusable containers or bags so it's ready to take on my camping trip!

Ingredients
