Trail mix is one of the best snacks because it is packable, affordable, and full of nutrients! The trail mix recipe I make on repeat is this Copy Cat Trader Joe's Tempting Trail Mix Mix because it is the easy, healthy, quick, and the most delicious.

Why trail mix?

There are so many reasons trail mix is great! It's fast and easy to make, provides nutritional benefits, and you can customize it with your favorite things. Trail mix is usually packed with nuts, seeds, and some sweets! It is great for travel because it's lightweight, pantry stable, and packable. The nutritional benefits are numerous, but I like it because of the healthy proteins and fats it provides, which keeps me feeling full and energized.

Tader Joe's Temping Trail Mix

My ultimate favorite trail mix is the Trader Joe's Tempting Trail Mix. While there are at least 18 mix options in their store, this trail mix always makes it on my Trader Joe's Shopping List. I love this trail mix purely because it tastes delicious. The combination of chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, dried cherries and some roasted and salted nuts is absolutely tempting and satisfies my sweet tooth every time. I figured it would be super easy to recreate at home so I made a Copy Cat Trader Joe's Tempting Trail Mix! It takes about 5 minutes to prepare, and it has been the best afternoon snack all week long!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • cup dried cherries
  • cup peanut butter chips
  • cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Measure out all ingredients.
  • Mix in a large bowl
  • Store in container or separate into individual servings.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

I used a combination raw and unsalted nuts, but you could use whatever kind is your favorite. I used dark chocolate chips but you could use semi-sweet or white. I bought the ingredients in bulk so I could make multiple batches at one time. If you eat a chocolate chip, peanut butter chip, and cherry at the same time you won’t regret it!
