Favorite Things! Sharing what I'm cooking, watching, reading, wearing, & all the things bringing me joy right now.

As we approach a new month, I'm trying to reflect on things that bring joy to my life and share them with you each month. I hope you find some new favorite things too!
I'm loving...
All things summer!! I'm talking sunshine, traveling, playing outside, triathlon training, reading, enjoying food, hiking, and anything else with a good vibe. This is our first summer in St. Louis so we're taking advantage of everything to do here!
I'm excited for...
I'm excited for hosting adventure trips this summer! If you haven't heard, I'm hosting a couple of outdoor adventure trips that give gals the opportunity to get outside, try something new, and make a few new friends.
This month I hosted my first trip of the summer, which was an international trekking trip to Nepal! We hiked to Annapurna Base Camp and it was absolutely incredible. A blog post with a full recap is coming soon!

In July, I'll host a trip to Yellowstone National Park, and then in August, a trip to Bryce Canyon National Park.
The last trip of 2022 will be a camping, hiking, and white water rafting trip to Grand Teton National Park! This is the only trip this year with a few spots left if you want to join!
This week I just announced the first trip of 2023 as well.... and it's an adventure trip to Patagonia! Get ready for the most incredible views and hiking you're ever experienced. You'll definitely want to snag a spot for this trip.

I'm wearing...
Whatever keeps me cool this summer! I basically live in shorts & tank tops.
Here's the top 3 sports bra / tank tops I've been rotating through all summer:
- Padded Crop Tank Top / Sports Bra for Running
- Adjustable Longline Sports Bra (White)
- Medium Support Razorback Sports Bra
I also have worn this floral shift dress to almost every wedding I've been to this summer. Here's a cami version of the same dress that is a bit more summery.

I'm watching...
Absolutely nothing. I can't even remember the last time I watched TV or a movie. However, there are some things I want to see coming up including Where the Crawdads Sing (I read the book last month), the Bob's Burger Movie, and Heartstopper.
I'm reading...
A new (to me) series! I'm hooked. Absolutely obsessed. The series is A Court of Thorn and Roses and I've read the entire series in less than two weeks (and the books are NOT short).
This is a fantasy series and don't let that fact keep you from reading. I am normally a fantasy gal, but this book has locked me in and I can never guess what's going to happen next. I've also heard rumors the series will be a TV show.
I share everything I read on Goodreads if you want to become friends there.
I'm eating...
This Homemade Chocolate Frosty. This has been the dessert of the summer! It's the best shake I've ever made at my house and it's packed with protein. You must try it!

No cook meals! This blog post has 10+ camping meals but they're also great for hiking, road trips or even easy meals around the house.
Meal prep! I have been traveling so much that I haven't been able to meal prep much, so when I can I make it count! This view is honestly so beautiful to me haha. Here's a recap video of this week's prep.

I'm ordering...
The new Bad Athletics summer supplements! Bad Athletics has been my favorite supplement company for over 2 years now. They just released two summer flavors and they're SO GOOD.
- Cherry Pie Pre-Workout (It tastes like cherry with hints of vanilla and it's delicious—a new favorite flavor for me!)
- Blue Slush BCAAs (This tastes exactly like a blue slush and it's incredible. I've been hydrating with this every day before a workout and I love it)

Fre Skincare! This skincare is for women who are active and sweat, which is perfect for the summer. I like the 123Fre Set which includes a moisturizer with SPF, cleanser, and hydrating serum, basically all you need for the summer. The code JORDO will get you a discount!

I'm shopping...
Sparingly! We've been trying to save our extra finances for travel so we haven't been buying much.
The only thing we have bought lately are new electric toothbrushes. We did a lot of research on the best, affordable electric toothbrush and purchased the Oral B 1000 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush. We've been loving it!
Also, these cute claw clips, but still I'm still figuring out how to use them with my long hair.

Questions of the Month
Q: What meal plans do you have?
A: Great question! There are 3 meal plan resources I offer right now.
- Weekly Meal Plans: These weekly meal plans include a menu for the week, macro breakdowns (2 example days), & shopping lists. While there probably isn't a plan that fits your exact macros, there's probably one that's close & you can adjust to fit your needs! Or just use it for ideas.
- Monthly Meal Plans: This meal plan includes dinner recipes for the entire month. If you're someone who "never knows what to make" then all of these family-friendly meals might be give you some inspo!
- Meal Plan Template: This template will walk you through making a meal plan for the week! It will help you make an inventory so you can use food you already have + help you figure out recipes to use. It's printable & can hang right on your fridge.
Q: Do you post the macros for all of your recipes?
A: Yes! You can find the nutrition information listed on the recipe card of every blog post. All recipes are searchable in MyFitnessPal so you can log there. To find in MyFitnessPal search "Jordo's World + [Title of Recipe]"
Q: How do you measure your recipes?
A: The serving size for each recipe is listed on the top of recipe card. Whenever I make a recipe, I divide it into the number listed in the serving size. To easily split up the recipe I either eyeball or cut into even pieces.
If I want it to be really precise, I'll measure the entire recipe and divide by the serving size (which would give me the weight for one serving). I don't include weights in serving sizes because it can vary so much when making based on ingredients, cook time, etc.
Q: Any recipes good for the summer?
A: My favorite recipes to make in the summer are no-cook recipes and grilling recipes. Here are a few favorites:
- Healthy Chicken Salad
- Chipotle Lime Turkey Burgers
- Greek Lemon Chicken Skewers
- Bacon Gouda Turkey Burgers
